Advantages Great Service/Warranty Package; easy to use

We had the Worcester / BoschCombi Boiler Greenstar 30CDi installed in May this year, having recently moved into a house with a pre-historic back boiler. Having had over 8 heating engineers round to quote for the job and provide advice on their preference of boiler for our 3-bed semi, and then having reviewed the various boiler recommended (Valiant etc) we opted for the Worcester / Bosch CombiBoiler Greenstar 30CDi primarily on family recommendations, the fact that it came with 2 year warranty (3 years if installed by a Worcester installation engineer - as ours was) but the winning factor - that Worcester provided an extended warranty to 5 years, with the inclusion of a yearly service for 5 years for only £230 approx. You pay more than that in servicing alone for 3 years - let alone servicing by an approved technician for 5 years.

So far, and bearing in mind it\'s the \'summer\' season our boiler has been fantastic. I\'ll update this review into the winter, when I have comparable readings against our old back boiler (as we moved in last October).

But it is easy to use, the timing setting is simple, and you can time by all week, mon-fri and sat-sun, or by individual days - which is superb if you work a rotating shift pattern.

As for costs, our installation cost us £2700 which covered the removal of our old back-boiler, installation of the new 30CDi,removal of 7 old radiators and installation of 7 new radiators and movement of pipes as necesary. Radiators included 1 chrome towel rail for the bathroom. Plastering of wall where old back boiler was, move of gas pipes internally to new upstairs location in airing cupboard (Old back boiler had been behind fire between lounge & kitchen). I had thought it would be nearer to £4000 so I was pleasantly suprised.
