As with any yearly update this isnt massively different to the last game in the series: it features plenty of celebrity snooker players, (rubbish) commentary from John Parrot and John Virgo, plenty of game modes and online play on the Xbox. Although there is a tutorial mode, the game is intuitive enough for you to pick and play from the off, especially if you start the career mode and begin to slowly work your way up the ranks with your own custom character.The biggest challenge in the game though is having the will power to turn off all the control assists which initially help to make the game so easy to play. A new cue ball position zone marker makes things a lot easier than previous games, as does helpful aiming arrows indicating when and how hard you should hit a ball. Lining up shots still isnt quite as easy as it should be though and altering the strength of the shot on the right analogue stick also feels less accurate than it should do. There are a few bugs and glitches too, particularly around foul balls. Graphically the game wont win any awards, with poor animation and zombie like players, but thats really not what the game is about. Until next year at least this is the best, and only, next gen snooker game around.HARRISON DENT

Advantages: lots of snooker and pool to play. Disadvantages: commentary gets repetative after a while.
i have found worldsnookerchampionship2007 on the xbox 360 to be a fantastic snooker simulation game.
the commentary is good and the graphics are excellent and the controls are very straight forward basicly pick up and play.
you can create your own character to use which is a good feature as it gives that sense of playing as yourself.
the best feature of this game is the new positional play where you get a black circle showing you where the cue ball will most likely end up and making it much easier to plan your next shot, i found this makes the game way better than previous versions.
although this has snooker in the title you can also play the pool championship either the 8 ball or 9 ball games are available to play.
there is also a trickshot mode to play and online multiplayer mode too, if you like snooker then you will be ...

The idea of the game is to pick a player and work your way through the ranks of the world, start as a nobody and become world number 1.
Enter through life like tounraments and beat the best and their game.
Play the defensive game or gamble on a difficult black, either way you have to beat your opponent, learn skills and techinques to beat the worlds best.
Once you attain a recognised rank you can enter into pool tournaments which adds another dimension to the game, if that isn't enough for you enter in trickshot matches and woo the crowd with your skills

When I got WorldChampionshipSnooker 2005 2 years ago I was really happy with the game play and thought it was fantastic. It was really good on the pc and suited it really well. When I learn that WorldChampionshipSnooker2007 wasn?t going to be brought out on the pc, I was upset at first and thought to myself, what console shall I get it on? I decided I would give the psp version a shot. I did not think it would work that well to be honest and was dreading the controls for it.
I got the game and started to play it instantly. Dreading the controls and never being one to read the manual properly, I went ahead and played an exhibitions match. I was really impressed.
