As any of you have already read my other reviews will know I love the whole zombie genre so it was a joy to me when my favourite writer made his newest book. I always loved his other book 'The Zombie Survival Guide' for its seriousness on the subject. My favourite part of that book was when he gave 'true' events that happened troughout time of zombie uprisings. So it was to my pleasure when he released his book on how the world may turn out if there was a zombie apocalipse.

The book it written as a set of interviews with people from all walks of life. It starts with the first patient being found in the rural parts of China by an old docter. At this time he sees it of no more than another case of desisea in the poor areas of China. This quickly escalates as cases of 'Rabies' spread throughtout the world spread further by organ transplants on the black market and human trafficing. Brooks even tackles details of todays society by that of the drug Phalanx which is produced as a dud drug to get rich quick. As the reader we follow Brooks and story as he travells about pulling together details of the 'Zombie War'.

Brooks uses strong imagery with nothing left out for the reader. He does not dress up the moral issues that a person would face in those situation but still comes across as a read of several smaller stories of all we care for. Personally my favourite story is that of a Japanese computer wise teenager who quickly finds himself out of his world of numbers and facts and into the real world to take care of himself. In a way this shows my situation in my life, but ofcourse slightly more zombies. We see him as he makes a relativly short journey down the outside of his tower block. As he travels down he meets those who have given up hope and those who have given in to the zombie plague. All the way through he uses dark comedy to 'lighten' the mood.

A definete read for any zombie fan out there and a great book for christmas... Just not for the too young :D.

Thats all for this review:
Emotional: 80%
Graphical:90%
Action:75%

Thats a Marche score of ... 83%
