Advantages Joining offer
Disadvantages Deciding which book to read first
I first joined World books 5 years ago. The only problems I have had is receiving the editors choice when I didn't want it. This was my own fault as I hadn't bothered to send the slip back in time to refuse that months choice. I didn't always return the editors choice though and as a result I have been introduced to a wide range of authors that I would not normally buy. Jeffrey Archer to name one.
The joining offer is brilliant. You get to choose 6 books from a wide range of bestsellers, all hardbacks at only 1p - 5p each which is a massive saving on the retail value, your only committment to them is to purchase 4 further books in the next 12 months. The postage charge is added per delivery not per item so you could have all 4 in one go and save more money.If, like me you read alot then it is definitely worth joining. I normally find I have fulfilled my committment to them within 6 months, I then cancel my membership, no questions asked and wait for them to invite me back. I normally receive an offer to rejoin within 6 months and then I again get to choose 6 books for a few pence.
Its saved me a fortune and I have also benefitted from special offers which run on a regular basis, ie buy 2 books and get 1 free etc.Detailed Rating

Everybody seems to do this "join,, get the special offer, resign, join again six months later and start the whole cycle again" thing. Maybee I ought to try it, too! Cheers, w80.
