Don't You Just Love Chocolate Mousse!!!
Review of Chocolate Mousse for Greedy Goose - Julia Donaldson by belfin

Advantages: lovely rhymes - fantastic illustrations
Disadvantages: none

...***The Author & Illustrator*** As with quite a few of her books, Julia Donaldson has paired up with Nick Sharratt to put together this wonderful rhyming book. Julia Donaldson is such a popular author that I'm sure most of you out there with young children will have seen one of her books, if not actually own a few yourselves. Her most well known book has to be the Gruffalo but she has also written lots of other fantastic books such as Conjuror Cow, The Snail and the Whale and Wriggle and Roar. ***The Story*** Told in rhyme this book is all about a group of friends, getting together to eat a meal. It starts, "Where's the meal? Asks hungry Seal. It's coming now, says busy Cow. As we turn the pages we see that each animal has a question to ask or an answer to give and a variety of foods such as pasta, vegetables and finally... Read review

Getting All Wriggly
Review of Wriggle and Roar - Julia Donaldson by belfin

Advantages: Fantastic rhymes with great illustrations
Disadvantages: none

...My son won this book as part of a set, in a Cbeebies competition about a year ago. He loves it. ***The Author & Illustrator*** Julia Donaldson is such a popular author that I feel she needs only a small introduction. Famous for her bestseller The Gruffalo, amongst many others, she has become a household name. The illustrator in this book is the same as quite a few other Julia Donaldson books such as Hippo Has A Hat and Conjurer Cow. Together their words and pictures are a pleasure to look at. ***The Rhymes*** This book is full to the brim of rhymes - in fact there are seventeen in total, each one very different and extremely fun to read out loud. All Change is about what a little girl likes to do when she is fed up of being herself. The illustrations show the different animals and the actions that they do. Animal Voices... Read review
