Advantages Cheap, full of tips, and enjoyable to read.
Disadvantages Only once a month
When i was told about this magazine i thought it would just features interviews and bios on successfull published writers, and pieces about writing that are way out of my league or hard to understand. It is in fact, the exact opposite. This magazine really is crammed full of ideas and tasks that will help a non fiction and fiction writer of any level. There are bios on writers, but the rest of the pages are filled with 'how to's', exercises, competitions and much more. I cannot begin to tell you how much of a difference this has made to me. I have picked up lots of tips, like how to do my own bio, how Twitter can be used productively and even the reasons not to write for certain internet sites. It is a magazine written for writers, by writers. So every nugget of information is there to guide you in some way.
There are other magazines out there for creative writers, but for me, this is the only one you'll need. So easy to pick up and read, and the competitions pages in the back are invaluable.
At less than £4.00 a month, you really can't go wrong.
