Wuthering Heights a deliberately shocking, gothic genre novel which was published in 1847 by Emily Bronte hasnt always been one the greatest love stories written although you would think so after reading it.The exciting and shocking action was to much for the Victorian public to take in! Bronte cleverly reflects the characters through the two contrasting worlds of Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange allthroughout the book for all you english fanatics ,but also for those who just want sheer entertainment the story starts off slow in an isolated location where you would imagine that nothing interesting could ever happen, however you will be impressed when the two houses clash like yellow and purple ,leading to a love that destroys everyone it touches.Personnally i enjoyed all aspects of the book ,being a person who seeks entertainment and a peice of clever english to explore the unobvious meanings of , from a book.On the other hand you may struggle to understand the long words. Heathcliff starts off as an innocent boy, but read as he grows up stirring trouble for everyone. Can anyone escape his evil?

Advantages: A beautiful story which is narrated beautifully Disadvantages: Difficult to understand and a litle complicated at first but fine once you've got your head around it all
Advantages: Simply yet powerfully written; social commentary of the 1840s; affecting romance. Disadvantages: Could be accused of pulling some punches but still radical for its time.
