Advantages: Great sound ,sharp looks,reliability
Disadvantages: The need for mutiple W7 enclosures in the future

...I have purchased many big name products for 5 vehicles totaling £35,000. The last £5,000 spent was on JL Audio products. I was disappointed with the Orion XTR subs, the MTX 5000 Series subs,the Kicker 15" square solobaric's seemed to be just hype. There seemed to be no company to trust for quality sub woofer performance. No one had anything bad to say about JL Audio. So I gave JL Audio 13W7 a try and so far I have not been disappointed. I would like to see more choices in the Slash series amps and multiple enclosed W7 subwoofer setup's in the future. Keep up the car audio domination. I know things can only get better from here, so its up to the individual!... Read review

Advantages: vacuum tube electronics CD player, top-notch D/A converter & drive
Disadvantages: price, does not play mp3 files

...This is a truly ground-breaking CD player. Rather than listing the many electronic and mechanical innovations incorporated in this rock-solid unit, one need only judge it by what it does. Simply put, it brings your old and new CDs to life with remarkably improved resolution, real subtlety and superb dynamics. You will discover layer upon layer of musical information and enjoyment that you never realized were encoded onto that compact disc. Before purchasing this unit, I auditioned MANY different brands of CD players in this price range. Almost all of them had one similarity: a digital sound. Regardless of what reviewers or salespersons declared, the sound of these other players was simply not "musical". One listen to the CD7 unexpectedly changed all that. Advantages: Rock solid performance, ease of use
Disadvantages: Needs good support rack

...The P7 follows the established Rega tradition of simple but highly effective design, stunning looks and excellent sound quality. While some will question the hassles to raise the arm's VTA, this is still not a problem and it works well with a variety of cartridge. Rega will want you to use it with Rega's own range of cartridges and the VTA is set for that. And why not. It worked beautifully with the Exact MM that I use as a spare cartridge Imaging is marvellous and it has none of the lumpy bass of its Scottish competitor. Startup is fast at about three rotations before it gets to full speed. Easy to use and maintain, high quality components and good looks makes this model a focal point in my home.... Read review
