Review of "XCOM: Enemy Unknown (Xbox 360)"
Xcom Enemy Unknown is a turn-based,shooting,post apocalyptic game. Xcom is a division of units that is funded by countries around the world to stop and understand the alien invasion on Earth. You fail the game if too many countries pull out of the Xcom project. You win like you do any other game, progressing in the story line.
Not every operation you go in is part of the story line, in fact only two or three of them are. The story line is a set of objectives that you must complete to get closer to the alien leader. The objectives include, building facilities, capturing aliens, building new equipment, and boarding some alien ships.
Going for the story line might not be as easy as it seems, countries will get attacked and you will need to help them or risk them pulling out of the Xcom project. Helping other countries risks you losing high ranked soldiers which can set back your progress.
This game gets an 8 out of 10 for two main reasons. Reason one, the game it self is fun and can take a little bit of time and effort to complete but the story line itself does not have much to it. The second one is the game relies on luck, part of the story line you need a soldier with psychic powers to complete. You have to test each of your soldiers until you have one with psi-abilities. If none of your soldiers have any you will need to buy, and test more until you find one, this can take a lot of time for something so trivial.
