    Advantages Advantages Amazing artwork, brilliant storyline, and of course, Phoenix

    Disadvantages Disadvantages You'd have to know a bit about the history of the X-Men to understand

    As a child and through to my teenage yeas I adored the X-men, and the rest of their many affiliates (X-Factor, X-Force, Generation X etc), but I stopped collecting the comics when I came into my late teen's. After seeing the second hit X-man movie, "X2," I was excited to see the shadow of the phoenix at the end, and eagerly awaited "X-men 3: The Last Stand," which brought back Jean Grey as the Phoenix (one of my all-time favourite characters). Seeing this film re-kindled that old flame for comic books, and I'm so glad it did. Not to confuse the two storylines, the films are of a different ... more

    Advantages Advantages great resolution to Phoenix storyline, exciting plot, good characterisations

    I've been reading the X-Men comics since the early Claremont era, which is when the Phoenix storyline was originally introduced.
