Advantages: Fantastic and unbeatable range of colours and finishes Disadvantages: Dislike the frost texture, some aren't very long lasting, some can be drying
When it comes to makeup, lipstick has to top the list as my must-have item. I have annoyingly pale lips which look odd against my slightly lighter than olive skin so I need a bit of colour on them to perk up my complexion. My makeup collection consists of lots of lipsticks and generally speaking, MAC is my go-to brand, due to their vast colour collection and the variety of finishes that they offer. Although Maxfactor's tagline is "The Makeup of Makeup Artists", it would really be better applied to MAC, as I've yet to come across a Makeup Artist who doesn't rave about the range and have a box stocked to the brim with hundreds of pots of MAC colour. The colour is the real selling point of the range: unlike other brands, they focus all of their energy on makeup rather than sidelining in skincare, which means that the sheer variety of colour ...

As a frequent PC user, I was instantly blown away with the ease of use of the MacBook Pro. Upon booting up it asked me what my name was and what the password to my router was, then, two or three minutes later I had a fully set up computer. No restarts, no discs and no clicking. It was a truly pleasant procedure. I instantly set about exploring the settings for my new computer and took the advice given to me by the Apple man by configuring the multi touch. Two seconds later and I was up and running.
Let me just say that OS X Leopard is beautiful, the dock looks amazing reflecting anything on the desktop while the semi-transparant menubar at the top stays out ...
Advantages: Good action sequences, interesting moral ideas. Disadvantages: Terrible (and I mean terrible) acting, disjointed.
When an alien race finds itself marooned on earth they are fortunate that a caring humanity give them refuge and their own land in South Africa known as District 9. Years on however, these prawn-like creatures are seen as a resource eating nuisance and live in slum conditions. The subject of abuse from a corrupt government and Nigerian gangs they are about to be relocated to the even worse District 10. Fortunately, they may well have found themselves an unwitting ally in government stooge Wilkus who finds himself exposed to a DNA altering gas. As he becomes more alien by the day will he become their Saviour?
I don't really get District 9. It seems to have gone down well with almost all film audiences and critics but I feel like I must be missing something. I think maybe a lot of it is because it has strong apartheid references ...
