Need For Speed: Shift
Advantages: Looks Good, Sounds Good, Great Cars Disadvantages: Over a Bit Too Quickly
The latest installment of the Need for Speed, Shift, series reverts (thankfully) back to the track-racing percision of ProStreet. After a few more dyer attempts at the even-more-overdone-than-WW2-shooters street racing scene, the new game heads back to some of the most popular race tracks in the world. Slightly Mad Studios have managed to create an accessible racer that's easy for a beginner to pick and jump into, but at the same times appeals to ... ...racer before will know what to expect; you start with a small amount of money to buy a bottom-of-the-barrel car, finish a few races and upgrade your car, finish a few more and buy a better car. There are plenty of cars to choose from and they all behave differently making the driving experience for each unique. The cars are broke up into Tiers, as you progress through the career you unlock new tiers and new cars. One thing I found with Shift is I ...

Competitive and rewarding game
Advantages: Bikes, Weather, Looks Disadvantages: Lack of people on PGR on demand?
I bought this game secondhand as i do with most games and was pleased with the new look to the game. The graphics looked even better and i couldn't wait to get on a motorbike.
The career mode is different to that in PGR3 with it's month/date/event layout. There is also an arcade mode which is more like the PGR3 career mode but there is lots of variety throughout this game. It is very easy to sit down and have a play with it.
The kudos system works ... ...get the hang of but when played for a while it is much more rewarding than in PGR3. Also there are no such things as credits (money) as you buy not single cars but SETS of cars (which makes the game feel nicer if i may say) with kudos gained. The cars are less glitchy and the bikes implemented are fun (sometimes tedious on ice) and as mentioned just there there are much more wether conditions. What i found really cool was in dips in the road and ...

Need For Speed Undercover - Xbox 360
Advantages: Wide range of cars and missions. Disadvantages: Poor graphics, poor sound and not very realistic game play.
Need for speed undercover is a great game to play - but not the best Need For Speed have made. There is a large choice of cars you can buy and modify but the two things that let the game down the most is the graphics and the way the cars look when your driving them, they skid around very un-realistically making the game seem a bit childish. Also, another bad point about the game is the choice of views you get for the cars during game play - on most ... ...Club LA for example, there is a realistic cockpit view making the game more enjoyable to play as it means you can sort of get a sense of driving a nice super car! If you’re not fortunate enough to have a nice plasma screen TV then the graphics of the game look pretty bad - I’ve played the game on both a plasma TV and a normal Trinitron TV and I have to say I was pretty disappointed with the graphics, even with the plasma TV. There is however some ...

Burnout Paradise - The Ultimate Virtual Drivers Heaven
Advantages: Very fun to play on. Good Online Play. Disadvantages: Graphics quality of scenery isn't that good.
...criterion games the makers of Burnout Paradise constantly adding new content. This new content can be game modes, maps or cars. These are all available to download. This game is good if you like to explore as you are not bound to a track. This game is a 10/10 in my opinion. Overall I think this game is a must have. ...

So last year
Advantages: Graphics, quality Disadvantages: not on the street
...direction and graphical prowess of Need for Speed ProStreet. Many of you may already know about the look that EA was going for from its magazine, online and TV advertising, but seeing it in game motion adds the exclamation point. Basically, Need for Speed ProStreet is what a next-gen, grassroots-style street racing game should look like: borderline over-the-top, but with a keen sense of how function needs to follow form at times. It's also evident ... ...side rarely stays up in Need for Speed ProStreet, and EA built the technology that makes vehicle damage look better than nearly any other racer out there (even its own Burnout titles). Not only will cars erupt into pieces, but more subtle blemishes, such as paint scrapes, tears in metal and holes punched through fiberglass body kits show up with regularity and look ultra-realistic. Better yet, these flesh wounds show up hastily repaired with duct ...
