Midnight Club LA
Advantages: Some realistic cars, a fun but not too serious game :) Disadvantages: Expensive, repetitive, too realistic for those used to NFS on ps2!
I bought Midnight Club LA spur of the moment because I was disappointed with Forza 2 as its so realistic and wanted a crazy racing game like the old days of NFS underground on ps2. It took some getting used to, but its half way there. Again the game aims for realism losing the element of fun. You can't bounce off walls to get around corners on racing games these days! It took me a long time to get a feel for the controls however once I managed the ... ...the back of the controller instead of buttons (X and O for ps2 owners) make controlling vehicles a lot easier as you can control your speed, but when racing I found this irritating as just holding the accelerated gets you in a mess. As a game however once you get past all this it is pretty good. Standard street racing stuff- cool looking city that always looks better at night, some good cars and the addition of motorbikes was a good idea. I personally ...

Burnout Paradise Review
Advantages: Stunning visuals, Solid Multiplayer, 60fps, Long Lifespan Disadvantages: Slightly Repetitive, Can seem a tad long
Burnout Paradise, the latest iteration in the Burnout series lets players race, crash and generally cause road rage in the fictional streets of Paradise City, but is it any good?
Burnout Paradise has a very simple structure for progress. Race, Win, Progress. This might seem like the game is very boring, it is however quite a fun, thrilling game, that when given the added benefit of Online multiplayer make for a very fun game indeed.
The way Burnout ... ...has done very well with Burnout Paradise is implement multiplayer into the game. With a quick tap of the directional-pad you can bring up your friend list, and invite them to your game, or join theirs, making getting into a multiplayer game very quick and painless.
Multiplayer in Burnout Paradise is a lot of fun, giving you and 7 friends the opportunity to race, cruise or cause mayhem together in Paradise City. If you get tired of causing chaos, ...

The most boring game I have ever played
Advantages: online car auction house graphics Disadvantages: gameplay online play career value for money
Forza Motorpsport is one of the most boring games money can buy. The gameplay graphics are actually pretty decent. The car choice and range is also quite extensive, as is the tracks. However, the game is incredibly boring to play, the responsiveness from the controller to the game isn't very good and it takes an age for any car to brake. The career is quite big, but once you have done 4 or 5 events (about 20 races) , everything seems to be the same ... ...just makes the game awful. Forza motorsport 2 is actually an Xbox 360 Classic meaning that it should be pretty good. Athough as you can tell, it obviously isn't. There is an online play section of the game, but to be honest, all it is is the career all over again. Apart from the computers are real people. The only good part/idea in the game is the option to buy and sell other players cars over LIVE. Apart from that, I strongy recommend that you don't ...

Competitive and rewarding game
Advantages: Bikes, Weather, Looks Disadvantages: Lack of people on PGR on demand?
I bought this game secondhand as i do with most games and was pleased with the new look to the game. The graphics looked even better and i couldn't wait to get on a motorbike.
The career mode is different to that in PGR3 with it's month/date/event layout. There is also an arcade mode which is more like the PGR3 career mode but there is lots of variety throughout this game. It is very easy to sit down and have a play with it.
The kudos system works ... ...get the hang of but when played for a while it is much more rewarding than in PGR3. Also there are no such things as credits (money) as you buy not single cars but SETS of cars (which makes the game feel nicer if i may say) with kudos gained. The cars are less glitchy and the bikes implemented are fun (sometimes tedious on ice) and as mentioned just there there are much more wether conditions. What i found really cool was in dips in the road and ...
