Easy to see why Fallout 3 was voted the 'Game Of The Year'!

Advantages: Many, many side quests and missions; stunning and realistic graphics; gripping storyline
Disadvantages: Main mission strand quite short; some minor bugs/glitches throughout

Fallout 3 is a fantastic adventure, played out through the eyes of the young 'Vault Dweller', a child born into the ruins of the world following an epic war in which the use of nuclear weapons brought about the destruction of civilisation. The child is kept in safety in an underground community for many years, until circumstances force an escape from this sanctity, into the unknowns of the irradiated wastelands outside. I have never been a great ...
...recommended this game by a friend, I was a little dubious about whether I would enjoy it. As a result, it sat unopened for several months. However, on starting it, i was immediately gripped by its unusual gameplay style, amazing graphics and intriguing storyline. The 1950's setting is a stroke of genius, with the use of a superb soundtrack comprising legends such as The Ink Spots, Danny Kaye and Billie Holiday, which when juxtaposed against the bleak ...

To be good or evil?

Advantages: Size of the world, good animation, fun and entertaining.
Disadvantages: Loading times are sometimes annoying, alot of the missions are boring.

...hero and the setting for Fable 2. Its set 500 years after the original and in my opinion 500 times better. There is so much more for you to do and explore plus you get the option of choosing a male or female character and then theres your trusty companion, your dog. You befriend your dog as a child. TYour dog will follow you most of the time depending on your actions. Your dog can learn tricks, fight bad guys and find hidden treasure. The appearance ...
...feature. Unlike the original fable the player does not get money through doing quests, but instead by doing jobs around Albion. These are Blacksmith, Woodcutter, Bartender, Assassin, Slave Rescue, Civilian Displacement and Bounty Hunting. All of which are very easy to get the hang of and are good little money earners. Fable 2 is also much larger then the original, there is so much to explore, Exploring is essential to discovering much of the games ...

Sacred 2 - Worth the price? Worth the Wait?

Advantages: Graphics
Disadvantages: Uninteresting story and characters. Controls "stick," display for items is awful.

Sacred 2! I waited a long time for this game, and then I was disappointed by it, then I waited a long time for my 360 to get fixed, then I waited a long time to beat it. Yes I waited to beat it. Why did I wait? Because this game gets so boring after an hour, that you lose sight of how boring it really is in lieu of waiting for the next lengthy load screen or the notably stupid remarks your character makes. I played the Dryad, who is a tree hugger ...
...this game. Honestly, I'd rather have gone back to Diablo 2, a tried and true classic. Sacred 2 left out a lot of things that made Diablo 2 a great game. Story, interesting NPC characters, a constant uniting theme and matching environment, an intelligent user interface, and flawless gameplay mechanics. ...

Star Ocean: Without Hope?

Advantages: Great battles, long gameplay time, plenty of side quests
Disadvantages: Idiotic story, bland characters, Stupid gimmicks, Idiotic AI

This is the fourth Star Ocean game, though first chronologically in the series . While the game has a £39.99 RRP, it can be found for cheaper at around £15 - 30 if you look around. At the lower price, it's a bargain. There is also a special edition, but its not as available or cheap as the normal one. The game lasts around 50 hours for one playthrough, and thats without most of the sidequests. With them it lasts for 60 hours plus. For players for ...
...Similar to Star Ocean: Till the End of Time's battle system but with some new additions. Like the first two games, you now have 4 active characters in battle, which allows for greater choice in battle tactics. There is also an ability called Blindside, which allows you to counter an enemy's attack and appear behind them for a free attack. This new addition is both interesting and annoying. Initially the game doesn't make much of it, and quickly you ...

A new twist to RPG combat

Advantages: A good modern RPG using new realtime mechanics. Thats quite rare when everything is just a rehash
Disadvantages: A little lacking in polish considering the makers pedigree.

...is its gameplay, and here Infinite Undiscovery delivers from the very start. The fighting is fun and intense, and neither too easy nor too difficult. There is a weak fast attack, and a stronger slow attack, that can be combined together into three different combos. Nothing too complicated, but enough for entertainment and usefulness. Then, reminiscent of Star Ocean, there are skills that can be set to either the strong or weak attack buttons. There ...
...HP, the attacks use up MP. However, the idea is very similar, and pretty fun. As Capell, you will be one of the main attackers of the party. The game continues when you enter the menu, so it isn't a good idea to use it during a battle unless you desperately need to use an item, so instead pressing the Y button tells one of your party members to heal you. The AI is quite talented at telling who needs healing most, and will behave accordingly. You ...
