I want to be clear from the start, I do not like the Sony PS3. My sister has one so I know it is overpriced, ugly, big, heavy, complicated and has no good games.

My xbox 360 was brilliant. Fast, Good looking, easy to use, and great games. The controller is great, too, although the wireless one gets through rather alot of batteries.

Unfortunately, it does have two major faults and one fatal floor. It is so noisy you can't hear the games, and it blasts so much heat out the back it destroyed a sky+ box - made it overheat and fail, the front of the disk drive actually burnt my hand. There is no way that anything as delicate as a computer chip could survive that kind of intense heat - which brings me neatly to the big problem.

It is hopelessly, pathetically, completely and totally unacceptably unreliable. A freind of mine had one that lasted half an hour, my first one lasted exactly 367 days, which was inconvenient as it had a one year warranty, and my new one has been rapidly deteriorating over the past few months.

If you want to play the best games on the best system, you'll want to buy one of these, but if you have even the slightest bit of common sense you'll buy something else. The wii, probably.

£280, they're charging for something that will struggle to outlive a mosquito, and I'm sorry, but that is way too much.
