Works 12 hours a day, is quite quick in setting up new pages, offers much clearer print quality than I had expected for a colour laser printer of this price range, it is easy to use, didn't need time consuming training sessions ( easy double side printing too) and works well as part of the office net with four other PCs printing through it. More important perhaps ... ...proced too and that the ink cartridges last relatively long ( we print our logo together with the text or report so quite a lot o ink is used ). As negative point I would point to the fact that the 6100 needs quite a long time to warm up and that it does create quite a high level of noise. In any case I have since discarded all the ink jet colour printers and sincerely reccomend this product. ... more

More important perhaps is that the original replacement ink cartridges are reasonably proced too and that the ink cartridges last relatively long ( we print our logo together with the text or report so quite a lot o ink is used ). Advantages: low cost color printer for laser and fast and easy to use Disadvantages: no calibration parameter, toner cattrage dont last long
Hi, I have this printer for a year now, and I can tell you, it a good printer, but with some big default.
Ok fine ! it is low cost, but the catrage cost about 100$ each for full load. Dont be fool by the 54$ catrage they have 50% of toner in it and you need 4 catrage (black, yellow, magenta, cyan) so it about 400$ for 1000 copies full color. Not so low cost anymore.
the default it mostly the fact that at 25% of the catrage, it start missing spot ... ...shake the catrage and it good for about 10 copies. On the good side, there is a option that tell you how much toner is left in the catrage.
For the color quality, it good for graph but not for photo. It does'nt do well the brown or color like purple, beige. There is no option on the printer that you can calibrate le color. On the plus side. I been able to print carboard, sticker, and glossy paper very easily and it can print on both side in a flash.

Advantages: Color Disadvantages: Inadequate support
I purchased a Xerox color laser based on their reputation. I learned an expensive lesson. The printer never worked correctly. I takes forever to send a print job over 10 Mb ethernet connection. Once the print was readied in the printer memory, it was likely that the printer would jam. You have to reset the printer and start over. Printer engine faults were SOP. I was able to get a single service call from Xerox personnel. Their position was that ... ...jams continued. The new Xerox position: "The printer needs cleaning." Multiple cleanings, faults, and jams later I still received no support from Xeorx. $3000+ and three years later Xerox has not changed their position. No support from xerox and I am left with an expensive doorstop. If you are a small business, don't waste your time on Xerox products. If you bigger, you will need another level of printing/copying than these machines offer. ...
