Looking for a copier-printer that has the essential features your office needs? Welcome to the Xerox WorkCentre. It's the ideal choice for workgroups that want effortless copying and printing in a single device with none of the hassle. No question, standout performance and value is where the Xerox WorkCentre family truly shines. With the same walk-up capabilities as the CopyCentre products, it also provides network printing, optional faxing and scan to e-mail in an integrated, easy-to-use package. And since it's networked, it's like having a "virtual copier" right at your desktop. Print multiple collated and finished sets at the click of a mouse. And the price? Some would say it's the best feature. Track your print job's progress and view the WorkCentre status conveniently from your desktop. View and control print jobs at the WorkCentre's touchscreen interface. No need to walk back to your desk. Scan hard-copy originals directly to e-mail. Instantly send documents across your network or the Internet - all without the need of a PC. Safeguard your electronic data with the exclusive Image Overwrite Security option. It clears all images from the system's hard drives, ensuring that your private data stays that way. WorkCentre models also provide restricted access to network configuration settings.

...Well just under 2 years ago I upgraded my PC and decided I needed a decent printer to go with it.I ended up in PC World and bought the Xerox Workcentre M940.After shopping around and listening to others the old problem of the colour cart being thrown away because one of the three colours had run out, well I didnt want to waste the remaining ink in the other 2 so I thought hard about it.I also didn`t have a scanner so this printer was a scanner, copier, fax, printer all in one.A the time it cost me £149 and all the coloured inks are in seperate carts!Black costs £16.99 and the three colours cost £11.99 each.
The box contained my all in one plus:-
cd rom software
warranty, getting started book and reference guide
4 ink cartridges
2 printheads
a power cord
paper input tray
paper output tray
and a USB cable(normally seperate...

Advantages: Good quality for a cheaper printer, fairly compact, combined printer & scan, quick Disadvantages: none, except got to buy the cable to hook it up to your PC seperately.
...Ever since the late 1980's when I got my first computer (a cousin's cast off Sinclair ZX Spectrum after he switched to AMIGA instead), I always wanted a printer when looking at the accessories advertised in the back of "Your Sinclair" magazine.
I finally got one around September / October / November 2000, a year after I bought my first ever PC & Monitor. It was a Xerox Docuprint C8, I think an end of line product CURRYS in Scarborough were flogging off for £50.
This printer lasted me right through until Friday 16th February 2007, when I was about to print off a letter to my Prison Penpal in California before lunch. I hit the print button in MS WordPad, and sweet-F/A happened. The low ink warning light had quit flashing, and the printer didn't try to "prime the printhead" as I believe the manufacturer's instruction refer to it when...
