Advantages: quality, cost, features Disadvantages: size, print head replacement
Well just under 2 years ago I upgraded my PC and decided I needed a decent printer to go with it.I ended up in PC World and bought the XeroxWorkcentreM940.After shopping around and listening to others the old problem of the colour cart being thrown away because one of the three colours had run out, well I didnt want to waste the remaining ink in the other 2 so I thought hard about it.I also didn`t have a scanner so this printer was a scanner, copier, fax, printer all in one.A the time it cost me £149 and all the coloured inks are in seperate carts!Black costs £16.99 and the three colours cost £11.99 each.

cd rom software
warranty, getting started book and reference guide
4 ink cartridges
2 printheads
a power cord
paper input tray
paper output tray
and a USB cable(normally seperate ...

Xerox DocuPrint M750
After buying myself a cheap digital camera, the dinky Digital Dream Co. I was very tempted, until I looked into the running costs of such a machine. The original Lexmark cartridges were £25.99 for a black cartridge and £27.99 for a colour cartridge. This to me seemed ridiculous, as you could buy another printer for nearly the same money!
I then trusted the reliability of Hewlett Packard, as my Deskjet 400 had served me well without any problems at all ...
Advantages: Separate colour reservoirs, good instructions Disadvantages: No cables
The Xeroxm760 came with my new pc and I expected it to be tacky, cheap, and cheerful but basically not very good. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is an excellent piece of printing machinery. Easy to setup and install, easy to use. As usual there were no cables, these have to be bought separately, but the machine can be connected to either a printer port on your pc or by USB. Drivers were already available through Windows XP so I didn't need the drivers disk supplied with the machine. This might not be the case with earlier versions of Windows so just follow the on screen instructions.
This also applies to installing print cartridges. The cd contains on screen instructions which are very easy to follow, simple and clear. A child could do it. The instruction book is easy to follow and well laid out, exactly what you would ...
