Advantages: Widescreen - built in wifi connectivity - Ease of use Disadvantages: Relatively short battery life.
I have used the Acer Travelmate 7510 version, for about a year now. Prefering the wider 17" screen, which this Acer has.
The unit is powered by the AMD Turion 64 processor, another personal preference towards Athlon rather than Intel. 2 gig of RAM and an 80 gig hard drive, is more than sufficient for the personal home or office user.
Wireless internet connection has been very stable and runs at 8mbps on average, which is great for music or film downloads.
Windows Vista home premium is pre-installed and you do not receive a back up or restore cdr. The operating system is partitioned on the hard drive, so, in theory, you can always restore it to original factory settings - having tried this, due to a virus, I found I could not carry out this function, despite Acer telling me otherwise.
