Advantages All round satisfactory phone.

Disadvantages Can prove difficult to use to newcomers of the touchscreen revolution.

Review summary
In summary, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini is a fair representation of the type of smart phone you can acquire for a fraction of regular Smart Phone prices. The browsing in my belief is not fantastic but it works and though you may have to look at loading pages a little longer, you will get there eventually. Given its size it trundles on giving the user the very best it can. I always get the feeling that it really doesn't want to let me down and tries so hard to keep me happy. haha!
As a current user of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini i believe that the only real problem this phone has is that there isn't enough of it. Which you could argue is probably due to the fact it is a baby version of what it's meant to be and you would be right however, I feel that this day in age when you go to purchase an android smart phone, it should be capable enough to handle the current android software available. In my honest opinion this is where the Mini lacks against the other models. There simply isnt enough kick in the system to give it the speed required for applications and browsing. I personally purchased my Mini due to the reduced cost and as i am always on the go, to keep up with the latest goings on in my social network and I feel that the general quality experience of browsing on it is just not up to par with other smart phones which really is a requirement of modern Smartphones.
However it's not all doom and gloom for the Mini, there are redeeming qualities to mention such as a built in camera which may not be high in Mega Pixels but always delivers a clear cut image with or without flash, an Mp3 player which is easy to use with the software Media Go which is included with your phone and a nifty timescape feature for viewing whole text conversations easily. Coupled with easy phone navigation and plenty USB cables for connecting to a pc (the charger itself can be dismantled to become a USB cable).
The actual physical quality is good and sturdy. Stylish but practical and durable. I personally have stood on, dropped and spilt a cup of tea on mine and yet it continues to provide me with a satisfactory experience without a scratch on the screen.
There are also security features which can be enabled such as a pattern lock which requires you to draw a pattern chosen by you onto the screen before you can access the phone, a standard screen lock and a pin setting. There is a built in user guide which will tell you anything you want to know and more.
