It seemed that nothing would shift the almost industrial sized black bags under my eyes.
Trawling through a magazine one afternoon many years ago I came across an advertisement for YSL Touché Éclat (Radiant Touch) I had heard many good things about this product both on TV and in Magazines and was quite keen to give it a try, however at £21 I wanted to test it first to see if the claims of banishing shadows and signs of fatigue were true. It had happened that a friend of mine was already using the product and swore by so I decided to try some of hers. My friend applied this to my Dark Circles and I was really impressed with the results, So much so that I went out that same afternoon and purchased some from the YSL Debenhams.
Touché Éclat radiant Touch is an instant highlighter. As well as using on the eyes it can also be used on the hollow of the chin, contours of the lips and sides of the nose. Due to its light reflecting properties I wouldn't really advise its use on spots and blemishes. In my experience it only seems to make them worse. It is very gentle to skin especially as it is used round the eyes and is suitable for all skin types.
YSL Touché Éclat comes in a lovely Gold Box embossed with the YSL logo on the front. Inside the box there is a small instruction form in several different languages with instructions for use. On taking out the Touché Éclat I was really impressed, It really has the look of a prestige product and takes the form of a pen. It has a solid Gold/Metallic outer shell with the YSL brand logo down the side. It measures around four inches long and holds 2.5ml worth of concealer. Upon taking off the lid the Touché Éclat takes pen form again. The applicator is shaped like a felt tip for ease of application and is initially dry. The base of the pen is then clicked and the concealer comes though the tip of the applicator to be applied directly to the face. Radiant touch concealer comes in three shades. 1,2 and 3. Shade 1 is for paler skin tones. Shade 2 is for normal to olive skin and shade 3 is for Darker skin tones. I would reccomend anyone purchasing to try the shades out first as this could prove a costly mistake if the wrong one is purchased!
After purchasing the pen I was initially a little disappointed. My friend had managed to cover my dark circles when she had demonstrated its uses. After using it for a few weeks it had seemingly had little effect. Quick to blame the product I spoke to my friend again. They say a bad workman always blames his/her tools and in this case that statement applies to me. After buying this I was dotting concealer all over my circles and rubbing the concealer in to blend. I have since learned that less is generally more and to apply concealer to the inner of my eyes only (As it is light reflecting applying directly onto the circles will only make them worse!) It also helps to dab the concealer with fingers lightly to blend in. The concealer should never need to be rubbed in. The creamy texture helps it blend easily.
I have been using this product now for a number of years and find it really helps to lessen my dark circles. Because of the price It can be a disappointing buy if not applied correctly. I have used it on the contours of my face before and it works really well at highlighting these, but as I mentioned before it is a essentially a highlighter so will not cover up spots or blemishes too well. Its also worth noting that It can be applied before or after make up and is can be used throughout the day as a touch up. I tend to find that this normally lasts all day so will never normally need to do this.
All in all despite being an expensive buy I would recommend this product to dark circle sufferers, I do find the pens tend to last around 5-6 months so long as they are used sparingly and as intended. Touché Éclat can be found at any major department store with a YSL skincare counter. I am sure it can also be found cheaper though several Internet shopping sites.

This fabulous product is renowned among beauty experts everywhere as being the best concealer around. It originally came in just one shade to (supposedly) suit everyone's skin tone, doing away with all ... ...recently YSL have added a darker shade (3) designed to suit Asian skin tones and a pale one for the pasty English Roses (1). I was initially sceptical that just 3 shades could really suit everyone, but my skin tone is olive and this blends in equally well with my skin as it does with my paler friends.

...an opinion by Miss-D on Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat and I hoped my prayers had been answered.
The product does not claim to reduce eye bags or dark colours, but instead hides the darkness by covering it up with a light reflecting liquid. Apparently this wonder product, recommended by many celebrities and beauty magazines, is only available at Harrods and Debenhams. Fortunately I have a local Debenhams, so I decided to visit one lunchtime. Unfortunately, ... ...you, go and visit the Yves Saint Laurent counter and get a free application. You can then judge it for yourself.
UPDATE: I do believe it is working! I didn't apply and Touche Eclat today as it was Sunday and I wasn't expecting to see anyone. My partner looked at me funnily and asked me if I was OK as I looked as if I had a black eye. Unfortunately like so many major companies, YSL have been proven to use materials in their products which test on animals. It is really not necessary, especially considering how much money they are making from consumers. I was shocked when I found this out and feel consumers have the right to know that their money contributes to the suffering of defenceless animals ... ...Eclat, it’s a great little product and extremely effective. Although the size of the tube is small, it lasts a long time. The major draw back is the price, but if you are after a quality product you should be able to manage this, especially if you manage to grab a great deal!
I’ve decided that I’m going to start phasing out products that test on animals from my make-up bag now, as much as I love them, now I know how they make them I can’t justify ...

I hadn’t actually heard about this product until a couple of years ago when a work colleague asked me to purchase one for her at the Duty Free shop in the airport as I was due to go abroad on holiday. She told me that she couldn’t be without it and that it covered a multitude of sins on her face each morning. I didn’t think too much more about it until a few weeks ago. You see, I do suffer from thread veins on the cheeks of my face and I have tried ... ...really been very effective. When applying my makeup I would keep thinking “how on earth can I get a concealer that will do the job to cover this redness?”

I have been hearing about Touché Éclat (that’s Radiant Touch to the likes of you and me, although you can see why YSL stick with the Touché Éclat label worldwide – Radiant Touch sounds like cheap and nasty hair colorant) for many years now (it was launched in 1992) It’s a celebrity favourite, but I was never sure exactly what it was. It appeared ... ...is a fluid highlighter that contains light reflecting pigments, to disguise dark circles and give the face…well a radiant touch. But does it do exactly what it says on the tin?
With a complexion in desperate need of some luminosity and radiance (or failing that a facelift!!) I thought I’d give it a go.
