I have always been quite lucky in having clear skin on my face. Unfortunately it would seem the bags under my eyes more that make up for this. Throughout the years I have tried everything to try and reduce there appearance. This ranges from making sure I have the right amount of sleep, to drinking plenty of water and using specialist creams. It seemed that nothing would shift the almost industrial sized black bags under my eyes.

Trawling through a magazine one afternoon many years ago I came across an advertisement for YSL Touché Éclat (Radiant Touch) I had heard many good things about this product both on TV and in Magazines and was quite keen to give it a try, however at £21 I wanted to test it first to see if the claims of banishing shadows and signs of fatigue were true.
It had happened that a friend of mine was already using the product and swore by so I decided to try some of hers. My friend applied this to my Dark Circles and I was really impressed with the results, So much so that I went out that same afternoon and purchased some from the YSL Debenhams.

Touché Éclat radiant Touch is an instant highlighter. As well as using on the eyes it can also be used on the hollow of the chin, contours of the lips and sides of the nose. Due to its light reflecting properties I wouldn't really advise its use on spots and blemishes. In my experience it only seems to make them worse.
It is very gentle to skin especially as it is used round the eyes and is suitable for all skin types.

YSL Touché Éclat comes in a lovely Gold Box embossed with the YSL logo on the front. Inside the box there is a small instruction form in several different languages with instructions for use. On taking out the Touché Éclat I was really impressed, It really has the look of a prestige product and takes the form of a pen. It has a solid Gold/Metallic outer shell with the YSL brand logo down the side. It measures around four inches long and holds 2.5ml worth of concealer. Upon taking off the lid the Touché Éclat takes pen form again. The applicator is shaped like a felt tip for ease of application and is initially dry. The base of the pen is then clicked and the concealer comes though the tip of the applicator to be applied directly to the face.
Radiant touch concealer comes in three shades. 1,2 and 3. Shade 1 is for paler skin tones. Shade 2 is for normal to olive skin and shade 3 is for Darker skin tones. I would reccomend anyone purchasing to try the shades out first as this could prove a costly mistake if the wrong one is purchased!

After purchasing the pen I was initially a little disappointed. My friend had managed to cover my dark circles when she had demonstrated its uses. After using it for a few weeks it had seemingly had little effect. Quick to blame the product I spoke to my friend again. They say a bad workman always blames his/her tools and in this case that statement applies to me. After buying this I was dotting concealer all over my circles and rubbing the concealer in to blend.

I have since learned that less is generally more and to apply concealer to the inner of my eyes only (As it is light reflecting applying directly onto the circles will only make them worse!)
It also helps to dab the concealer with fingers lightly to blend in.
The concealer should never need to be rubbed in. The creamy texture helps it blend easily.

I have been using this product now for a number of years and find it really helps to lessen my dark circles. Because of the price It can be a disappointing buy if not applied correctly. I have used it on the contours of my face before and it works really well at highlighting these, but as I mentioned before it is a essentially a highlighter so will not cover up spots or blemishes too well. Its also worth noting that It can be applied before or after make up and is can be used throughout the day as a touch up. I tend to find that this normally lasts all day so will never normally need to do this.

All in all despite being an expensive buy I would recommend this product to dark circle sufferers, I do find the pens tend to last around 5-6 months so long as they are used sparingly and as intended. Touché Éclat can be found at any major department store with a YSL skincare counter. I am sure it can also be found cheaper though several Internet shopping sites.

My advice is give it a try.
