Yves Saint Laurent's Touche Eclat has become known as the best highlighter money can buy, and that's not without reason. Yes, the brand name and packaging are appealing, but it's the miracle inside the shiny gold tube that you're paying for. And believe, me it's worth the money.
Before Touche Eclat, Yves Saint Laurent was not particularly well-known for its make-up line. Whilst many designer cosmetics are more style than substance, this is not true for Touche Eclat, which is more than a side-project for a major fashion house.
This product works as both a concealer, covering dark under-eye circles and as a highlighter, to accent areas such as cheekbones. The reason why it works so well is that it contains light reflecting particles with give your skin a natural, radiant glow, whereas other concealers and cover-ups effectively just "paint over" your skin. Touche Eclat leaves your skin looking naturally flawless so you never look like you're wearing too much make up.
Another advantage is the packaging. The tube in which the concealer is contained includes a brush which makes the product easy to apply. One problem with this, however, is that you may need to wash the brush occasionally to keep it hygienic, which can be time-consuming.
At around £20, Touche Eclat isn't cheap, but I would say that it is worth the money as you will not need to reapply throughout the day. It is available at most department stores and some chemists (although personally, I always get it from the duty free).
