A YAC Number is the ideal solution for any busy person, whether you're a business man, student etc... YAC lets you combine all your communications (phone, fax, e-mail, mobile) into just ONE number. When people call your YAC Number, they hear a greeting similar to "Thank you for calling. To be connected, press 1. To leave a voice message, press 2. Or to start sending a fax, press 3".

You can also customise this welcome greeting, making this ideal for small businesses who need a "switchboard" feel. At any time through the YAC.com website, you can change your settings. For example, if you want all calls to divert to your work number during the day, you cna do this. Likewise when you get home in the evening, all calls can forward to your home number or mobile. And the caller has no idea where you are, meaning a YAC Number is totally anonymous. Switching between mobile phone networks? Just give your YAC Number out to friends - they will ALWAYS be able to contact you through it.

Other features that I've found incredibly useful is the fax and messaging services. All faxes sent to your YAC Number will be forwarded to your e-mail address (as a TIFF, GIF file etc.). And all voice messages will arrive in your Inbox also (as a WAV, MP3 file etc.). You can also send out distribution messages, this measn that if you have a message for your co-workers (for example), then just call your Yac Number and leave your message. This will then be sent to as many e-mail addresses as you choose.

YAC provide all this for free, because they get money from a fraction of the cost involved in ringing your Yac Number (normal mobile rates: 30p/D, 22p/E, 10.5p/Wkd). This means that you don't pay any rental or charges at all. Going on holiday? Set the Yac Number to forward to your hotel room's phone (choose from over 30 countries that YAC now lists) - the caller or you won't pay anymore than the rates given above. You also get up to 3 sets of 50 business cards, though I have yet to receive my third set yet.

I've been using the Yac Service for a year now, and would thoroughly recommend it. I has a slight problem a few weeks ago, but the customer support staff were incredibly helpful and this has now been resolved.

Visit Yac.com and sign up for a YAC Number today.
