I had been searching for some months online to find a good reasonable price for this DVD player. I had read many excellent reviews about it so I knew I had to buy it. I managed to buy it on ebay (brand new) from someone who chose not even to open the box for an incredible £20. With postage it came to about £28. A real bargain I am very happy with it. The many reason I bought it for was it's capability of playing DVD, VCD, SVCD, CD-audio, Kodak picture CD, JPG's, MP3, CD-R, CD-RW and more importantly it came with its very own scart lead. I prefer to buy things with all the essentials in one box and not having to worry about buying additional bits to get it working.
I fell in love with it. It has good onscreen menus and a useful remote control. Amazingly light for quite a bulky looking remote control. There are many buttons I never use but it is reassuring that they are there just in case I find a need for them in the future.
I have played American DVD's on this and they all work. I even played some MPEG movies which I didn't think would work. I have been so impressed with this model. For something like this I thought I would expect to pay over £100. This has got to be my bargain for 2005.
I would recommend you go out and buy this model. Keep looking on ebay because I am sure you will get it at a bargain price. I have seen it advertised for about £35 on some websites. Happy hunting.

Sounds like a good player, tend to only buy DVDs from the UK so don't need one that plays American ones. Just a tip, but try to spend some time reading and rating other people's reviews - that way you'll get your name known on Ciao and get more reads yourself, Lucie xxx
