Effective home security at a bargain price!

Advantages: Value for money, easy installation and use, brilliant piece of mind.
Disadvantages: Ensure batteries are replaced.

and a large amount of jewellery was taken. They were both left shocked and shaken by the incident and didn?t feel safe in their own home. The kind soul that I am offered to improve the security of their apartment and asked if they had considered an alarm system. After trawling argos, homebase, b&q etc we settled on the Yale system as it appeared to fit the requirement to adequately secure their apartment from every angle. £74.99 later the system had been purchased. Micromark Wirefree Alarm System

Advantages: Easy to Install
Disadvantages: Has a mind of its own!

Originally bought this alarm after realising the walls to my house are half a metre thick. Not good for drilling cable holes. Anyway, it was easy to install and looks just like a wired alarm. Then the system managed to find a mind of its own and armed ...

East fit smoke alarm

Advantages: No need to keep replacing batteries
Disadvantages: You need a suitable light fitting in the right place.

fittings and it needs to be in some form of 'open' lamp shade either an uplighter or standard type but it will not work in 'globe' type shades. It is small enough to fit most lanp shades except for very slim ones. It measures around 5" at its widest point so you would need a light shade with at least that diameter. It also lowers the bulb by around 2" so if you have a very short shade the light bulb would be visible below the shade. Buying the Alarm As I said I saw the Fire Angel Plug-in alarm in a catalogue that came with my local paper where they were selling it at £24.99 plus postage. However a quick search of the internet told me that other people were selling it for far less including Fire Angel themselves who sell it via their web site. I found that B&Q also stocked it for £17.98 so I reserved a couple online and then ...
