I bought the Yamaha SCSi on the recommendation of a friend who also had one. SCSI CD-Rs are more reliable than IDE drives, and they are also faster too. To use this drive you also need a SCSI card installed in your computer, if you do not already have one, which will add about £30 onto the price. Otherwise the drive when I bought it 8 months agp was £130 but it could be less by now. It's easy enough to install, and comes with Adaptec Easy CD Creator software, to copy discs, make audio or data discs. It also includes software wehich will back up the contents of your dirve, and can also format a blank CD to make it work like a floppy disc, saving work whenever you want to. This means 600MB size floppy discs for about 70p each - great for saving backups of all your important work.
