Advantages: Cheap to run, a good investment, friendly owners community, fun Disadvantages: slow, expensive and scarce parts
and to source those all imprtant spare parts.
I am also pleased to say that the FS1-E also has a new generation of owners with many 16-year olds opting to own an old classic fizzy rather than opting to buy a modern scooter, and thus keeping the fizzy spirit alive going forwards.
There have been various enthusiasts clubs and websites set uo to cater for this renewed interest and a Google web search for "Yamaha FS1-E", will find the main ones and you'll get the links to the rest from there. Try also fs1e.co.uk, where there is lots of info, photos and an excellent forum with great banter amongst 1,600 fizzy owners and enthusiasts.
In total there were about 200,000 produced for the UK market and it is estimated that only 2,000-3,000 still exist so finding one in a barn or old lockup is becoming increasingly rare. I hope this review has ...
Advantages: Value for money/comfort/economy Disadvantages: Front wings prone to rust/immobiliser problems on early models
The e200. My car was bought for 800 quid and is a dream to drive. It is an E200 classic 2 litre auto. It has 125,000 miles on the clock and the driving experience is an absolute pleasure. It is a most comfortable car and the 2 litre engine is not at all overstressed giving excellent performance alongside frugal economy. Being the classic it is the basic model but has very good spec such as 6 speaker stereo system, cruise control and electric front and rear windows. Typically for M.B a lot of thought has gone into the design of the E200 making this an excellent second hand choice. Things to watch out for is the front wings are prone to holding water causiing corrosion and on early models the immobiliser has reliability problems. That said, it is still a great car representing great value for money. ...

Advantages: Good Speed For CDR Writing Disadvantages: Cost
I have had no problems with my CRX-140E which was a bare drive ie no instructions, audio lead or IDE cable. I have upgraded the firmware to the latest version 1.0p without any problem.
I mainly use it for CDR copies of both audio and data and have never had a coffee mat yet!, saying that I have used the CDRW format for backup of some file that change on a weekly basis again very reliable.
It works at 32 x Read, 8 x CDR writing, 4 x CDRW writing which is fairly high spec for CDR writing. I have always found Sony to be a good reliable make and would recommend this model to you if require reliability, okay its not the cheapest drive on the market.
I have been using Ahead's Nero Burning ROM 5 as the software which I have also reviewed on here. ...
