Yamaha have introduced the DJX mark II in keyboard and 'box' format, which to be honest are just not as good as the original DJX. Now that is a disappointment, but really, how could they improve the original?
For the money, this is a good source of inspiration and usable sounds. Not a toy!...

Advantages: The sounds are great. Plays well with others. Disadvantages: The internal clock timing is shaky + non-backlit LCD.
...I love this board. It's light, has built in monitor speakers, more features then you can shake a stick at, and some really sweet sounds, all user configurable.
I bought this at Daddy's Junkie Music in Albany N.Y. I got it for $100.00 used, without a manual, right at the time that the DJX-2 had just came out. It took me about 2 years to really know what I was doing with it, and when I finally figured out what I was doing, I was floored. This thing is so much more then just a keyboard. It's a drum machine, a sampler, a sequencer, and more.
All the midi functions can be turned on or off individually, and the patterns, as well as the arpeggiators are all output via midi to other devices! Even the Cs1x doesn't do that! You can assign 2 voices to play with each keystroke, and split the keyboard for even more! Then you can...

The Behringer DJX700 has to be the best value for money DJ mixer on the market. it is a slight copy of the more expencive Pioneer DJM600S.
