Advantages: Excellent picture / sound. Amp very good upscaler. Future proof built in. Disadvantages: It is heavy. Amp in short supply
This is one serious bit of equipment. It's flexibility with connections make long term future proof. The sound and picture quality is awesome. If it is used in a room that can't take 7.1 number of speakers , use the unused 2 channels to bi-amp the front left & right speakers.
It has a multi room capability. It is an excellent upscaler. Five HDMI in, two HDMI's out ( two tv's or tv and projecter ). The amp is built like a tank - solid and weighty. The power supplies are over specified which puts the amp under less strain whilst giving better performance. A lot of the top of the range DSP-Z11's design and features have found their way into this amp.

The Yamaha only scores a satisfactory on the ease of use as it has just so many functions and so many capabilities it would just be impossible to make this thing simple. With a million ...

I have had my Blaster now for 7 years and had very few mechanical issues with her. Of course i have had to change tyres and top up fuel and oil levels when needed. I do as a matter of good maintenance, keep the chain and other moving parts oiled and greased, but this level of maintenance is expected on all such machines. I have recently rebuilt the top-end of my blaster engine and was very pleased to see that the condition of most of the internal waer parts was ...
