In my own opinion this drumkit has a potential rise above other drumkits because of its unique pitch and tone. I think that this product would be a popular item due to its use of creating music and its great value towards money. I have played a number of gigs with this drumkit and it can be set up and ready to play in 10 minutes, its that straight forward. I personally see this product going far but it needs a bette appearance towards i if it wnts to be succesful. TheYamaha GM-2F-5-BK-K should only really be played by intermediate level drummers due to its standard amount of kit and basic out line so that it is easier or people to understand the co-ordination of playing the drums. ...
Advantages: Design, fit, finish & sound excellent! Disadvantages: New lugs take a little getting used to.
I bought my new Yamahakit from Roli Garcia in Laredo, Texas. He's been my drum dealer now for about 6 years and offers great service before, during and after the sale. I first highly recommend you check him out, no matter what part of the country you are in. He's on ebay as "drumroom". Now on to the drums....NOUVEAU
My first choice through Roli was a DW Collectors series kit in a wrap finish. He told me when I went to plunk down the deposit that he was now a Yamaha dealer and that they had some great kits in stock. I told him I would go check out the newest Yamahakit I could find at my local drum shop and do some comparisons -vs- the Collector Series from DW.
Price wise there is no real comparison with the Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute Nouveau kit in the same sizes coming in at about 30% less retail than the DW's. Yamaha ...

I had this kit bought for me on my 21st Birthday after being let down by the ION ED01 kit a few years previous. This kit is fantastic, admittedly a little too expensive but you still get a good sound, a nice drumming experience and a generally very responsive all round kit. The pre-sets are great, the ability to set up double-bass is wicked, the metronome is an added bonus and the coolest thing of all is the ability to jack your own music straight into the kit from your computer or other music device. There are several slots open on the end of the list of pre-set kits for you to build your own kits as well, which I've done loads of times, really fun!
All round great kit for intermediate players and easy to move and store :) ...
