Advantages: Brilliant DVD player, perfect quality Disadvantages: cant think of any
Yamaha products are really good i have several in my living room and this is only a small portion of the full thing.
This DVD player plays DIVX files which is always useful, it plays CD's and DVD's made from your computer (pirate). It is the best quality DVD player i have ever had, mine is liked to my Pioneer 44" plasma television and the picture quality is amazing. I also have the YAMAHA RX-V457 sound system hooked up to it aswell and it really does deliver the best way to watch dvd's at home.
My setup is better than going to the cinema the picture and sound quality is simply the best. This is an essential part of my collection, forget about BLU-Ray this is the future! LOUD! & CRYSTAL CLEAR. If you arent interested in blu-ray just yet this is the thing and it has lasted me years with no problems what so ever!

Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied.
On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player ...
