These speakers were more expensive than the original speakers I bought, (wharfdale 7.1) but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.
First off, I really like the way they look. The brown box and speaker cover have really grown on me. They look simple yet elegant. Installing them isn't as easy as my old ones, because they are larger and heavier, but once that is done it has been fine.
The sound is very clear and precise. Whatever I listen to, the speakers seem to take it in there stride, from songs with a lot of base to voices on radio four. If I turn up the volume its my ears that break before the speakers do. I listened to these speakers in a sound room before I bought them from Richer Sounds, and to me, these speakers seemed to project a bigger sound than others, which is what I like.
The only real problems I've had with these speakers is the connection of the speaker cable, but thats because my room was rather small, and the speakers were to big for them really. In a proper size room, this wont be a problem.
I am listening to these speakers as I write this, which is testament to how much I like them. This is a sound investment!
