incredibly sound price. Both pianos are identical except for the finish. The P140 is black, and the P140S is silver. The P140 features Yamaha's highly acclaimed Graded Hammer Effect keyboard as well as realistic piano and instrumental voices. The P-140 offers both the authentic feel of an acoustic piano and the advanced features of today's digitals. Whether you are an accomplished or aspiring musician, the P140 has the simple operation and superior style you need to showcase your abilities. The P140 brings users an exceptional range of instrument voices, from organs and harpsichords to the new, all-in-one piano & string dual voice. Recorded using Yamaha's own AWM sampling technology, all onboard voices accurately reproduce the subtlest harmonics of the actual instrument with stunning realism. To offer truly authentic sound, Yamaha takes piano voice sampling to a whole new level. With three separate layers of stereo samples each set at a different velocity, Dynamic Stereo Sampling changes not only the volume, but also the harmonic structure of the notes depending on how hard you play the keyboard ? just like a real acoustic piano! An exclusive fourth sample layer recreates a piano's unique sustain resonance whenever the damper pedal is pressed, while key-off samples add even the subtle sounds of felt dampers coming to rest on piano strings. Better still, the P140's highly efficient built-in powered speaker system directs your music forward for unbeatable sound. The P140 features Yamaha's highly acclaimed Graded Hammer Effect keyboard, the result of more than a century's worth of piano craftsmanship and ingenuity. It's designed so that the keys in the lower registers have a heavier touch than those in the upper, which helps to create the feel of an acoustic piano. Just take a look at the different-sized hammers under the lid of any grand piano and you'll see why Yamaha puts the Graded Hammer Effect keyboard in all P-Series instruments. The sleek and stylish Yamaha P140 is designed to impress with rounded corners, built-in speakers, and a new orange LED that is sure to turn heads. These new features are all built into a compact chassis available in either silver or black with wood top panels of maple or dark oak respectively. For: £105
Coulour: Red
Features: 3 knob control. P and J Pickups. 4-String Bass.
Yamaha are known for solidly built guitars products for the price and the Yamaha RBX170 Bass Guitar is no different. Feels well made.
Lovely warm tone that sounds better than low-end squiers and is a class above Encore basses. Is the perfect option for beginners.
Only negatives i can think of are that there is higher than average buzz when playing the bass string and the knobs seem rather cheap.
As with all basses, its worth getting a decent amp to enhance the tone. No frills or extras, but a well made simple bass that holds in tune well. Certainly up there with the best within its price range. Would definately consider other Yamaha guitars in the future....

Advantages: A fine Oboe very good value for money Disadvantages: none
...I have been very impressed with the YOB421P Oboe.
My pupils have always played on french instruments, but the Yamaha Oboe offers a real alternative. This oboe has a fine tone across the whole range with good intonation. The finnish on the keys is very good, and they have a nice feel to them in the playing. I am using this instument to teach with and play profesionally.I have conpared this instrument to the Howarth S20 and S40 and feel it has a more rounded and full tone the 3rd octave key is a nice touch. To conclude I think if you have never tried Yamaha oboes do give them a try, I think you will be in for a very pleasant and enjoyable suprise....

Advantages: Excellent tone, attractive, inexpensive Disadvantages: Customer support quite tedious
...I have been playing bass for approximately 8 years, and recently bought a Yamaha RBX 460 in a grain red as a rock bass. I expected it to be warm, colourful and high quality, and boy did Yamaha deliver!
The RBX 460 is a guitar which will quite willingly be whatever you want it to be. It has the impact and shape to make it a serious rock bass, and has the style and sound quality to contend with the Jazz giants. Yamaha are a company who excel at excelling. It seems that anything they do, they do it well.
The alder body is beautifully crafted and finished with a flamed maple veneer. The maple neck is of typical Yamaha quality. Its gold hardware makes it stylish and the guitar looks 3 times as expensive as it actually is.
The RBX 460 has 24 frets, and a rosewood fretboard. The hardware lineup Includes passive P and J-style pickups...
