The Yamaha RXV-396RDS is the cheapest Digital receiver produced by Yamaha, but it still manages to impress, the front to back surround sweeps are as powerful and realistic a s an amplifiers or twice its price, the bass response is amazing, equipped with an external decoder input, inputs for CD,AUX,DVD\LD,VCR, Tape\MD Monitor, Sattelite\DTV, a built in RDS tuner with EON and PTY, and video inputs for DVD, LD,VCR, Sattelite, DTV, monitor out for TV, its not short of Plugs!!
It has a range of 12 DSP's and many digital settings, so you can get the perfect sound for whatever you are listening to. Bass, Treble, Balance and Volume controls are located on the front, and the whole thing itself is very attractive and fits into any hi-fi system.

Hi and welcome to the Ciao community. A nice first opinion, but try to explain abbreviations. I for one did not really understand all your review. Thanks. Louise

You can do better than that! A little more information would be nedded to get a decent grading from me, it was a very technical opinion but not as detailed as it could be, please try a little harder in future.
