If your over the age of 17 and lookin for a 125 this little beast is the best thing around. it's the most reliable bike beating the RS, NSR, and RG. by a mile. i have a modifyed italian modle that i race my mates with on the street. it beats all of them. it is a very very fast bike. the only thing you have to look out for is that you dont get to carried awayu and open full throtle while cornering. thats how i came of the second time. the first was going 80mph in a 30 mph speed limmit. and i miss judged a corner. i race alot of cars on it ,becauce they see the L plates on it so they take a chance. and becuse it's deresticted i absolutely whip them. there was one time i raced a punto through a village that had those speed bumps in the road, you know the once cars go over and one wheel goes over on side and the other goes over the other. well we where goin 85+ down this straigt road and the punto hit the speed bump wrongly and it ramped into the air, when it landed it swerved across the road and into a field the guy got out and he was ok. i laughed for hours when i got home. i bought the bike second hand from a salvage yard, which wasnt a good idea, but it was cheap. only £1400. a month and a half after buying it it packed up, so i took it in to be repaired, it cost me £200. and the thing has been running perfectly ever since (9 months). it reaches a top speed of 110mph. it does need alot of petrol i spend around £25 a month on petrol, thats goin to school and back, work and back, going round the villages to see mates and an hour ride on saterdays, just crusing around. the most i have spent is £60 a week on petrol, but i was riding it everwhere to different cites for lunch and stuff. oil is quite a big thing with 125's, especialy if its a 2 stroke, which all sports 125's are. i go through 2L of oil ever month which is a cost of around £10 a month. other costs include road tax, which is only £15 and you can park anywhere you like for free even if it's pay and display(except disapled parking bays, i found that one out with a parking ticket) i'm not sure how much an mot is but i think it's around £20 if you dont need anything doing to it. so over all the costs are minimal and the enjoyment is priceless. you can never know how enjoyable riding is untill you do, thats why encourage anyone to go for there CBT (Compulsory basic training) even if there not considering getting a motorcycle. it's a great day out it lasts about 8 hours and costs around £70 that encludes everything petrol, helmet insurance, gloves ect. so i recommend it. and when you have your CBT get a Yamaha TZR 125 to extent the riding plesure. ps please leave a comment.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
As i own a TZR myself i can agree with all the praise you give it but you should have used spell check. By the way, with a CBT you are only allowed 15Horsepower and a derestricted TZR makes 20+. Be careful.

Good op, but could be improved by spellchecking and by breaking up the text into smaller chunks.....Robin
Advantages: Reliability, Relatively good acceleration, basic maintainance. Disadvantages: Bit smokey due to the 2 stroke engine, Parts a little on the expensive side.
