Bought this new as a change from a Blackbird and was shocked by the seeming lack of power (62BHP) after a sportsbike, but a few miles of laid back country roads and I started to remember why I enjoyed riding a bike so much. With so much low down torque you dont need to rev the bike or change gear that frequently it just pulls deeply from around 1500 rpm and keeps going.
Sit back on the ample seat, hands on the big handlebars ( larger tubing on the classic), with a subtle rumble from the V twin and a stupid grin on your face.
It only gets used for pleasure and so I left it for a month over winter and had to charge the battery to get it started, so I now have it on an optimate permanently.
The chrome shows no sign of tarnishing and there are plenty of aftermarket goodies, as well as a very active owners club.
Its only fault is that its not a Harley, I have no idea if they are any better a bike but they have the name and status for this style of bike.
That aside it cruises comfortably with a pillion and with the addition of a sissy bar my wife says its the most comfortable bike for a pillion she has ever ridden
There is very little vibration felt from the engine at the speeds I like to ride it (50 - 60) around bendy A roads (A25 is excellent!). Although it gets a little harsher if pushed.
In conclusion if you want to rush around at breakneck speeds buy a sports bike, if you want to sit back, relax and enjoy both the ride and the views buy one of these, or if you are very rich go straight for the Harley

Don't know 'bout you, but I spent many years on sports bikes thinking they were the only real choice in bikes. Then I switched to cruisers due to knee problems. I personaly now think I had it all wrong in my early years, and doin' 140mph is NOT what bikes are all about. I used to get there quick, but didn't see a thing on the way. If you know what I mean. I've had more enjoyment riding cruisers than any other style of bike. Of course, I may just be getting old now :o)
