I have just bought another xj900f just like the new one i had brand new 20 years ago this one is the same colour and although 19 years old has only done 17000 mile and is almost imaculate great. my first xj was a fantastic bike had a top spead of 142 miles per hour would do a 190 miles to reserve on a cruise to the bol-dor was light compared to my later fj1200 another great yamaha very reliable 96000 miles when i part exd it for the new fj only needed 2 shims changed in that time along with oils tyres filters so very cheap to keep on the road handling was very good for a twin shock bike with crossply tyres al the reasons for my new purchase highly recomended bike for all but the road racers amongst us

Review of Yamaha XJ900F
Advantages: Bags of grunt at low revs. Long wheelbase for stability when towing. Disadvantages: lots of shiney bits to take off to do the most basic maintenance.
