Yamaha Silver YS62 Alto Saxophone

Advantages: Beauty and Sound
Disadvantages: None

Yamaha Alto Saxophone YS62 Silver Finish Bought new recently plays beautifully, easy top notes with clear sound, good low notes although for me the low note L.H. 5 finger will need work to get smooth transitions between notes. Quite a bright tone which suits me. Silver finish adds to the price but to me impresses more than the slightly yellow appearance of the gold one. Sturdy case although I have reverted to my Gig bag as the sturdy case is quite heavy but good for commutes or school runs. Case has feet on two sides making vertical or horizontal stacking standing possible good for tight spots on the bus or car boot. Adjustable R.H. thumb support good for kids possibly. Came with sensible sized mouthpiece for good all round use. ...

Jeff's making more noise with his Windsor Alto Sax

Advantages: Great sounding instrument at a real bargain price
Disadvantages: only comes with one reed and the sling supplied is a bit thin.

. I was very impressed with my purchase. The build quality looks to be excellent, it sounds like a sax at a fraction of the price that you might pay for a "good" instrument like a Yamaha or a Selmer. ...

Review of Windsor Alto Saxophone

Yamaha Saxophone

Advantages: good for beginners
Disadvantages: none I can think of

I started out with the yamaha Saxophone. It is a real good beginner. In fact I sold it a couple of years ago to a young girl. I had the saxophone for many years. If you take good care of it, it will last a life time. It is a good sounding instrument. Easy to tune and has good tone. I believe that someone that is just starting out learning to play this product would be the best to start out with. My parents chose the yamaha saxophone for me and I would for my son, who will be able to join band in a couple of years. ...
