i bought a yamaha ybr 125 in april 2008 for my 17th birth day it only had 6000 miles on. It was my first bike with gears (i owned a piaggio nrg50 dd) . the gears were a problem at first but it took about a week to get used to them after this every moment on this bike has been enjoyable. the top speed on an average day is about 60-65mph but i have had 75-80.the acseleration is good up to about 50mph can keep up with most cars. i am quite small 5'5 and the ybr is perfect for me it is so comfortable. the fuel economy is the most impressive thing on this bike i use the bike every day to get to work onover all about 12miles over all an i put a tenner in every 3 weeks. a few weeks after owning this bike the eletrics broke (the horn, electric start and headlight) i changed the bulb and they all worked fine. this bike is a perfect first bike or commuter.
