Fantastic flute! Any yamaha my friends have ever had have never had problems with it and lasts and lasts! I have had this flute since I started 10 years ago or so and I have only had the key pads replaced once, had the Bb replaced once and had a problem with the head which I fixed myself, no hassle! I also know a friend, despite this being considered a student flute, who has carried this on to music college and degree level!Great sound produced, lovely sweet and crisp! I am always being commented on at the sound produced from it in exams and by teachers and friends who hear me play. The tone is amazing, with a smooth effortless tone. I have used this flute to play jazz flute, which is notoriously difficult to play on flutes, and certain techniques and sounds which are also difficult and advanced and this flute helps to create a beautiful sound after mastering and getting my head round how to produce it.
So easy to play as well, with the keys being comfortably spaced apart and generally comfortable to use and being provided with a curved head and a normal head for introducing the flute to the player. The look is fantastic, a well crafted instrument which is easy to clean with the provided accessories, maintaining its shine for many years.
This flute is fantastic!!!! Described as a beginners flute but definitely lasts throughout all levels or could even be bought be any level!!
