The Yankee Candle Car Jar

Yankee Candles have really taken off in the United Kingdom over the past few years. I am sure almost everyone will have heard of them, if not tried them in some way, shape or form!

The product I am reviewing is not actually a candle, it is a car air freshener, made by the Yankee Candle company. The fragrance of my car jar is Coconut Bay.
I purchased this as a bonus pack, meaning the pack contains 3 car jar air fresheners.
The actual air freshener is a cardboard jar shape, impregnated with fragrance. It is designed to be hung up in your car, however I see no reason why it could not be used in another location, such as a wardrobe, small room or cupboard.

Car Jar air fresheners come with a black thread for hanging purposes. The cardboard jar has a picture of a beautiful tropical bay, viewed through the fronds of a coconut palm, surrounded by the familiar Yankee Candle logo in a gold coloured font, the size of the air freshener is approximately 4.5 inches in height.

I find the fragrance of this car jar absolutely delicious, sweet, tropical coconut and it reminds me of the smell of coconut cake cooking. It is an exotic fragrance and it certainly fills your vehicle with scent. I really do love this fragrance and I find it quite uplifting.

The fragrance seems to be very long lasting, this car jar has been hanging in my motorhome for several weeks now and it still as potent as it was at first opening.

Yankee Candle products are widely available in shops and of course on line.
The company UK website, www.yankee.co.uk is currently selling a single Coconut Bay Car jar for £1.99. The bonus pack of 3 car jars is listed at £3.98.

There are literally dozens of car jar fragrances to choose from, so I am sure there will be something for most tastes, ranging from the girly floral, fruity or sweet scents, to the more masculine herby, citrus or leathery fragrances. Yankee Car Jars come in a very broad range of scents, far more than those of their competitors.

I purchased this car jar pack at the Yankee Candle shop at McArthurGlen, a discount designer outlet in Ashford, Kent, where Yankee products can be found at bargain prices.

My Thoughts and Conclusion

This car jar is a real winner for my money, the scent is fairly strong, yet not overpowering. As mentioned, I have this hanging in the rear of my motorhome, a vehicle of around 20 feet long. The car jar fills the vehicle with it’s subtle fragrance, . Whether it would be too strong in the smaller space of a car is debateable!

I feel this particular fragrance would appeal to both males and females, unlike the vanilla car jar I have in my car which my other half hates!

I am very impressed both with the car jar scent and the fact that it is long lasting. I will certainly continue using the Yankee Candle Car Jar range. There are many car air fresheners on the market, some good, some poor, some mediocre and some, like the car jar, exceptional! A 5* air freshener in my opinion.

I would recommend the Yankee Candle Coconut Bay Car Jar to others, particularly if you like a coconut scent.
