Advantages: Great smells and colours Disadvantages: A bit expensive
YankeeCandle
It all started with a gift for Mom! YankeeCandles are a lovely scented candle company that first started in 1969. Their founder, Michael Kittredge, did not have much money and decided to make a gift for his mum for Christmas. He melted down some wax crayons and made a candle and after some interest from the locals the business grew and grew. It is now the largest US manufacturer of scented candles.
They now produce a variety of different products which I will expand on later but The Housewarmer candle is probably what can be described as their signature product. This was introduced in 1995 and is a scented candle in a jar. It comes in three different sizes, small, medium and large.
The large is 22oz and has a burn time of between 110-150 hours. These normally sell for approximately £17.99. The medium is 14.5 oz ...
Advantages: Long Lasting, They Look Great, Gorgeous Scents Disadvantages: They are expensive and the tea-lights aren't great

Needless to say I was peeved and so instead of spending a small fortune I paid the £5.00 for the broken tat and only purchased one candle.
The candle I chose was a Canary Island Banana ...
Advantages: Smells lovely in the jar, burns for a long time, fragrance fills the room Disadvantages: smells different when burning to when solid

This (according to the shelf in my local Collectibles store) is a relatively new addition to the YankeeCandle family and it was one I hadn't seen before. Immediately I fell in love with the scent, and knew I was going to buy it. In fact, whereas I normally buy a Yankee tart or votive first to make sure I really like the fragrance, with this, I loved it so much I bought the medium sized jar straight away.
YankeeCandles come in many forms including glass tumblers, wax tarts, and tealights, but the most popular, and probably the most recognizable form that they come in, is the house warmer jar which I bought. The jars are made from chunky glass and have lids on them as I'm sure you can see from ...
