Yardley English Lavender spray smells, obviously, of lavender. I brought it because I love lavender smells and I was in a pretentious-spray phase.
At first, the smell is very strong and a little unpleasant - it smells like an air freshner which, while nice for your room, isn't particularly nice on the body. However, after a few minutes the sharpness of the scent fades and it's actually quite pleasant, although still not as nice as I would like.The smell lingers for quite a while on clothing which is very useful, although if applied just to skin it seems to fade fairly quickly.
The packaging - soft purple and a creamy beige - is very nice and actually what attracted me to it in the first place. It says 'lavender' without even having to read the bottle. The spray canister is very standard for body sprays. The lid is a bit annoying as I find I have to force it on.All in all it's nice. I took a point away for the fidgety lid on the bottle, and a point for the initial sharpness of the smell. The remaining stars are for the smell after it has been left to fade, the pretty canister and the fact that it isn't very expensive, from what I remember (from Boots, anyway).
