... The can has a photo of the hotdogs on it, as well as a small image of a tree, and Ye Olde Oak in old fashioned writing. The use by date for my can was Jan 2008, so these do have a pretty long shelf life. So, a couple of days later, I was watching a movie when suddenly I heard a loud growling ... Read review

This sausage isnt getting in my buns!

Advantages fast, cheap , loved by kids

Disadvantages Pretty tasteless, some unsavoury ingredients.

"...image of a tree, and Ye Olde Oak in old fashioned writing. The use by date for my can was Jan 2008, so these do have a pretty long shelf life. So, a couple of days later, I was watching a movie when suddenly I heard a loud growling noise. After checking to see if perhaps there was a rabid dog hiding behind my sofa, I realized that in fact, the growling was my stomach, so, pausing the DVD, I trotted off to the kitchen in search of something quick ..." Just another 'dog' on the shelf

AdvantagesBig and fills you up!

DisadvantagesNothing overly special compared to any other hot dogs

"...I decided to buy the Ye Olde Oak finest hot dogs as these looked the best in terms of size and also the fact that I could see the 'dogs' through the glass jar they were in. Packaging: The glass jar is about a couple of inches bigger than a normal sized tin but looks slimmer (this could be because the jar is longer though!) and has a green label on it around the middle section with the name of the brand at the top and the product name underneath ..." Dogs in a tin

AdvantagesHandy for snack

DisadvantagesDepends on consumers taste

"...purchase was a can of Ye Olde Oak Hot dogs and a bag of small soft rolls. Cooking could not be easier as they only require warming on hob for about five minutes. You can of cause do them in Micro but the can does not give any instructions for this. I give them a minute on medium power. If not hot enough, then give them another minute. They should be cooked in the brine that they come in. When cooked they should be eaten within two days of opening ..." Read review

A Hot Diggidy Dog of a snack

AdvantagesCheap and easy to cook

DisadvantagesNot to everyone's liking but hey. The opening device

"...other day. The make was Ye Olde Oak Premium Hot Dogs, and the tin contained 8 dogs, well sausages anyway :) The price was a snip at 69and they are available to buy from all supermarkets as well as most corner or convenience stores, however the prices may vary depending on where they are bought. Also available are 3 packs, costing around the £1.59mark. The tins are not particularly heavy and are covered in a green coloured label, with the name and ..." Read review

Snout to do with me

AdvantagesCheap

DisadvantagesSnout

"...a couple of tins of ye old oak hot dogs, came the reminder from a couple of years ago from the foods standards people about tins of hotdogs exploding because of the bacterial growth in them. Mmm I thought to myself I could give these kids food poisoning, what should I do. I didnít really have a lot of choice in the matter, my husband who eats anything and everything twisted my arm by saying, if you donít get her hotdogs her mates will start ..." Read review
