Wow, its me...yes Dalesman !!, writing about a product from his own homeland, yup I'm talking Yorkshire Tea here, not Tetleys or PG Tips, but good old Yorkshire Tea... I get cows, I get Sheep Shit,I get Tractors and an aura of muck spreaders..no !!! only joking, this is a wonderful product..read on

No we don't have a squadron of ageing Mother-in-Laws out on the Dales Tea Plains picking only the ripest tips from the hardy Yorkshire Tea Plants, found nestling on a sunny plateau higher up in the rich tea growning areas of Warfedale or Wensleydale. This magic stuff, the liquid gold of the Craven Dales is actually blended in the Harrogate plains of North Yorkshire..

Nowthen, before you can sample the tea to its fullest effect and get that tea kick on the back of the throat ( not forgetting that you don't atually swallow the teabag !!), you have to warm the tea pot fully, immediately before putting the tea into it follwed by the boiling water, yes it has to be boiling NOT warm or hot, then let the tea infuse ( stand) for 5 minutes before pouring it into a cup or mug, not forgetting to put your milk in the cup or mug first prior to pouring the tea into it.

If you wish to try this magic blend of Yorkshire Nectar then those nice folk in Harrogate will send you a free ( don't faint !!!) YUP its a free sample from Yorkshire, just go to their website at www.yorkshiretea.co.uk and fill out the form on the free sample link, they will send you 6 tea bags for either hard or soft water, yes they have even rifined the product to take into account the type of water in your area, we are so technically advanced up here ( which is not bad coming from an area that has only just discovered curtains and electricity)..and where the Ilkey by pass is going to be cobbled..

So having tasted your cup of Yorkshire Tea what do you think of?, Cobbled streets, Yorkshire Pudding, Dales full of Sheep, Stone Walls, Yorkshire Ale, Cloth Caps and Allotments? Freddie Truman, well no actually none of those for me, its a refreshing cuppa with a special Yorkshire Blend that'll revive anyone in need of a good thirst quenching cuppa.

Yorkshire Tea is blended by Taylors of Harrogate, they are related to the famous tea shop called Betty's an expensive cafe in Harrogate for the rich and famous or those out for a treat, these guys know a thing or two about blending teas and providing a quality product having supplied the Royal Family with their products having provided the coffee for the coronation dinner of King Edward VII.

Yorkshire Tea have also introduced some promotional packs with tea tokens on the side, collecting these tokens will allow you to save for some Yorkshire Gifts, so for an all round drinking product, you'll have to go a long way to better Yorkshire Tea, take it from a Yorkshire Lad !!

By 'eck, I knows tha' knows !!
