...Muddying the waters
Although channels that look like river-beds dissect the Martian terrain, the evidence that water ever existed on the surface, let alone flowed in rivers, is scant. But there is a new bit of evidence for water in Mars past. The channels may have been carved by water that came in a form not previously considered – it may have once flowed as mud.
Whilst mapping Mars northern hemisphere, Viking missions of the late 1970s, noticed channels that looked very much like lahars - flows of water, mud, and rocky debris that spew from volcanoes on Earth. After developing a more detailed map of the Martian province known as Elysium, they found that the channels there had rounded tongues and debris-scalloped edges. Rivers would have left cleaner edges, and lava flows or dry avalanches could not have dug those trenches...

Advantages: Good pay for my age, meet lots of new people, not to stressful Disadvantages: Don't think there is any, I love it!
...trained how to use the computers and serve customers.
I am looking forward to going, I’m just not to sure how I’m going to manage not to see my boyfriend for 4 days! When I get back from Bradford I will edit this again and write about how it went and what the 3 and a half day's training involved.

The others were great, very talkative and easygoing - the sort of people I like and get on with well. But obviously that's why we were all chosen for the job.
The first two day's consisted of sitting around...

Advantages: Great facilities and nightlife near to natural beautyspot Disadvantages: you'll get your car nicked

The town itself is not the most beautiful on earth, and never will be, the addition of the huge ugly Cleveland Shopping Centre after slum clearances has not helped to improve the town in anyway. But for those with an eye for aesthetics one simply needs to look to the hills. Not far removed from the town is the excellent north Yorkshire Moors. And I also recommend the journey by train to Whitby along the lush Esk Valley.
Middlesborough’s nightlife is good and the cost of living cheep. The local authorities are finally turning the tide of crime...
