This book is very useful for research, it covers, to some degree, a variety of different disciplines: law, criminology, peneology, social policy, history and politics. Muncie always writes an interesting, well researched book with a strong liberal opinion which you are free to agree with or discount. In Youth and Crime, a book published in 1999, Muncie looks at the huge impact which the Bulger case had upon the media, the public and consequently the policies and legislation of New Labour and indeed the Conservatives.
