Rive Gauche is a very strong perfume and definitely one for the evening. It is by Yves Saint Laurent and is very popular, many people I know wear it. Even after YSL bringing out many new perfumes none seem to beat this one. I have tested out some of the recent ones but still do not like any of them as much as this.
Thi perfume could be worn in day but I think it is for night. It comes in different measures but I have the 50ml bottle which is around £26+ I am not too sure. The smell is hard to describe, I would probably describe it as flowery but very strong. You do not need to wear lots of this fragrance so one spritz would be enough. This stays on very well so you do not need a lot on for this reason too.
One thing I love about the perfume is the packaging it is very posh and luxurious. This has a very classy look with the blue and black horizontal surrounding stripes, sort of a nightime feel because of the dark colours which suggests it is for evening wear. The top is silver with the top to press down to apply. The lid matches the body and on top has the letters YSL engraves into it. The designer name is on the bottle with the name of the perfume.
The perfume is an eau de toilette which means it is not as heavy and is light. The bottle is a long cylinder shape which means it doesn't take up to much room on a table. The perfume can be bought from Boots, House Of Fraser or any department story because most have an Yves Saint Laurent counter.
If you are not too sure about the smell then you should go to the counter and ask to test because many people might have a different opinion of what the smell is. I am sure there are sometimes offers on with this and other products with the rive gauche range.
If you do not have anywhere to buy you can order from catalogues. Rive gauche is a perfect gift to give anyone because many people love the smell and I haven't heard many bad comments about it. This perfume can be used by all age groups it isn't just for younger women or older.
A great perfume, very popular and worth the money.
