Having recently re-done the kitchen and had fitted units whilst there was enough fridge space for drinks, vegatables, milk, butter, etc, we were limited on frozen food space.
We originally had a Fridge Freezer but I was told to buy a new freezer by my wife as we needed a bit more freezer space after the kitchen was re-done. However, we did not need a massive chest Freezer but one that just sat at the side of the washing machine in the utility.

Bad points on this freezer are many though. Suprising for a big name brand like Zanussi.
Not that it really matters in our house but there is no lock on the lid. This is not ideal if it was in an exposed area like the garage.
There is also no internal light so you can see what you are looking for. You could say a kitchen is light enough but it is suprising how dark a freezer is when you are leaning over it trying to find something, particularly towards the bottom of the unit.
It is also very thirsty on power (I think that this is C rated - but maybe a B). Not an energy efficient unit like some I can mention so it is bad for your bills and bad for the environment.
There is no fast freeze facility so you will have to wait for it to chill on purchase. This can take time. It also means that it takes that little bit longer everytime you unplug it - so think twice before defrosting, which is inevitable with a freezer.
However it is very reasonable to buy at around £175 it is a very reasonable chest freezer.
Advantages: Spacious, fits anywhere, low frost output Disadvantages: Energy hungry, expensive to run.
